Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

Recording a Lecture

The Service can record a lecture as it happens, and can turn a recording you made earlier into study materials. Before you record, make sure it is allowed: many schools and universities ask for permission first, and in some countries recording people without their knowledge is against the law. Checking that is your responsibility, not ours. Record the lecture itself — not private conversations, and not what someone tells the room about their health, beliefs, or personal life. If a person asks you to delete a recording of them, please do.

Eligibility

The Service is not offered to, and may not be purchased by, persons resident in Türkiye. Eligibility depends on where you live, not on your nationality or citizenship. You must also be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you are either 18 or over, or that you are 16 or 17 and have the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms with you.

Your Account

You need an account to use the Service. Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Your account is personal to you: keep your sign-in details confidential, do not share or transfer your account, and tell us promptly at support@regra.ai if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Use of Service

The Service is provided online only. No software is delivered, downloaded, installed, or licensed to you. You access the Service through your browser, and we process the material you upload on our servers to generate your study materials. You may use this service for lawful purposes only, and for your own studies rather than for resale. You agree not to upload, transmit, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable. You agree not to use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service or collect data from it. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service, or to work around usage limits, security measures, or paywalls. You agree not to upload malicious code. You agree not to upload other people's personal data, or sensitive information such as health records, government identification numbers, or payment card details. A lecture recording, made as the Recording a Lecture section requires, is the one exception to the rule about other people's personal data.

AI-Generated Study Materials

The Service uses artificial intelligence to turn the material you upload into study materials. AI can be wrong: explanations, notes, flashcards, and quiz questions may contain mistakes or leave things out, so always check them against your original source before relying on them. The Service supports your studying — it does not replace it, and we do not promise any particular grade or result. Nothing the Service produces is legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. The study materials generated from your own content are yours to use for your studies; we do not claim ownership of them, and we do not use them to train AI models — and neither do the AI providers we work with. They are for your personal study: you may not resell them, redistribute or publish them, or offer them as a product or service of your own.

Academic Integrity

You are responsible for following the rules of your school, university, or examining body when you use the Service. Do not use it to cheat, to plagiarize, to complete work that must be your own, or to record or share material where your institution or the people involved have not permitted it. If you are unsure what is allowed, ask your institution before you use the Service for assessed work.

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. Prices, applicable taxes, and the exact renewal terms are always shown at checkout before you pay. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand; the new price then applies from your first renewal after those 30 days, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Regional Pricing

Our prices differ by country, and the price list your account buys from is set by the country you were in when you first subscribed rather than by where you happen to be at any later purchase; if you move country permanently, contact us at support@regra.ai and we can update it for you.

Free Trial

We offer a free trial of our Plus plan. To start a trial you need to give a valid payment method. The trial runs for 7 days, and unless you cancel before it ends, your subscription starts automatically as soon as the trial finishes and the payment method you gave is charged at the price shown to you when you started. That price and the date of the first charge are shown to you before the trial begins, and we send you reminder emails before we charge you. You can cancel at any time during the trial from your account settings; if you cancel, you keep full access until the trial ends, you are not charged, and your account then moves to the free plan. A free trial is available once per person and once per payment method, and only if you have never paid for a plan before. A payment that was later refunded still counts. We may decline or end a trial where we reasonably believe these limits are being worked around.

Fair Use of Unlimited Features

Some features on our paid plans — including flashcards, quizzes, Ask AI, and storage — are described as unlimited. Unlimited means unlimited for your own personal study, at the pace one person studies. To protect the speed and reliability of the Service for everyone, we may apply reasonable technical limits to how often these features can be used, and we may adjust those limits over time. We may also limit, suspend, or close an account that places a disproportionate load on the Service, that is used through bots, scripts, or other automated means, or that is shared with or resold to other people.

Refunds

You can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. If you started with a free trial, those 14 days begin on the day the trial ends and you are first charged — not on the day the trial began. Renewal payments are not refundable. You can cancel at any time — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund part of a period. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record; to request a refund, contact Paddle (paddle.net) or us at support@regra.ai. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable refund rights you may have under the mandatory consumer laws of your country.

Your Right of Withdrawal

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country with similar consumer laws, you may have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital services within 14 days after you enter into it. If you withdraw within that period, we refund your first payment in full and make no deduction for the part of the service you have already used. You can do this yourself from your account settings, or by writing to us at support@regra.ai. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be waived.

Storage and Inactive Accounts

Every account comes with storage for the files you upload and the study materials generated from them. On free accounts that storage is limited, and you can see how much of it you are using in the app; when you reach it, you can delete older files or move to a paid plan. If a free account is not used for 12 months, we delete the content stored in it — your uploads and the study materials generated from them. We do not delete the account itself, so you can sign in and start again at any time. Before we delete anything we send two warning emails to the address on the account, so that you have time to sign in or to download whatever you want to keep. Accounts on a paid plan are not affected while the subscription is active.

Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the service. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process that content to provide the service to you. You are responsible for the material you upload: you confirm that you own it or otherwise have the right to upload it and to have it processed by the Service, and that doing so does not infringe the copyright or any other right of a third party. Material you upload stays private to your account — it is not shared with other users or made public, and we do not use it to train AI models — and neither do the AI providers we work with. It is sent to the AI providers that process it for you, on the terms described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless against any claim, demand, loss, or expense brought by a third party arising from the material you upload.

Copyright and Takedown

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on the service infringes your copyright, contact us at support@regra.ai and include: your name and contact details; identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed; identification of the material you are asking us to remove and where it is located; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; and a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. We review valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing material. We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the service, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the service, and we will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can. This section does not limit rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars, or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the mandatory consumer laws of your country.

Suspension and Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if the account is used unlawfully or fraudulently, or if we are required to do so by law — where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account without cause while you are on a paid plan, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for. When an account is closed, your content is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy, and the sections of these terms that are meant to survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@regra.ai — we try to resolve complaints quickly and informally.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the date at the top, and for material changes we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, you can stop using the service and close your account.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If any part of them is found to be invalid, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over our business, provided your rights are not reduced. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. We may send you notices by email or through the app. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without owing you payment. The service may link to third-party websites that we do not control and are not responsible for.
